1. About TheWorldIWanttoSee and this Privacy Policy

TheWorldIWanttoSee (the “Website”) is a platform for young people to post a statement regarding the world they would like to see on a virtual “wall”.  Messages may only be posted on the wall with the consent of their parents and with the assistance of their teachers

This Privacy Policy covers use of TheWorldIWanttoSee.com domain on which an authorized link to this Privacy Policy is posted. This Policy covers our practices regarding TheWorldIWanttoSee users of all ages, including a unique set of practices for those under the age of 13 (“children” or “child”).

If you are an EEA resident, this whole Policy applies to you. However, EEA residents should see Section 15 below, which will inform you in detail about the personal information we process, how we process it, for which purposes we process it, with whom we share it, on what legal basis we process and transfer your personal information and which rights you have regarding the processing of your personal information.

TheWorldIWanttoSee is also committed to protecting the privacy of our users, including children. Please see the “Children’s Privacy and Parental Controls” section below for more information about your rights as a parent or legal guardian of our children users and the measures we take to afford children users with additional protections and comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). To learn more about COPPA, you may consult this simple one-page informational guide from the kidSAFE Seal Program – www.kidsafeseal.com/knowaboutcoppa.html.

  1. How TheWorldIWanttoSee Works

TheWorldIWanttoSee works like this:

    • A teacher will register as an admin on the site (“Registered Admin” or “User”).
    • A Registered Admin will be allowed to post statements collected from his/her students provided the student’s parent(s) have consented in writing to their posting the statement on the Website.
    • Subject to the foregoing, a statement written by a child regarding the world they would like to see can be posted on the wall.

The names of the children providing the statements posted on the wall and any additional personal information regarding the children may only be posted on the wall with the express written consent of the child’s parent.

  1. Information Provided by Registered Admin when Setting Up an Account on TheWorldIWanttoSee

Registered Admin

All Users must create a TheWorldIWanttoSee Account to post statements on the wall. To create a TheWorldIWanttoSee account, we will ask the teacher to create a unique username and password (so that the teacher can log in to their account), and to provide other demographic information such as their age or date of birth, etc.

Users are encouraged not to create a username that reflects their own name or other personal information. Users should also not pick a password that is easy to guess, and should not share their password.

Users may be asked to provide or may choose to add an email address to their account for added verification and/or to enable certain features. The primary purpose for this email address is to provide account security, as this is the only way for TheWorldIWanttoSee to check the authenticity of an account owner.  Users may change the email address associated with their account at any time; however, a notification will be sent to the previously provided email address upon making that change.
